…when you realize you haven’t blogged in over a week. Yikes.
I don’t have a whole lot of time–papers don’t create their own theses and outlines, after all–but I figured I could find five minutes to make a quick little life update.
This semester I’m taking a women’s body conditioning class, and it’s amazing. I get my butt thoroughly kicked for an hour and a half every Tuesday and Thursday, and even though I’m a sweaty, tired, sore mess at the end of all of it, I’m in love. My “professor” is the volleyball coach, who’s known around here for her enthusiastic intensity. It’s everything you could hope for in a professor for a class like women’s body conditioning, because it’s the perfect balance of pushing you to your absolute limit but encouraging you every step of the way. We’ve done some crazy things so far that I’d love to expand on later (as in, when I don’t have a significant time consuming activity planned for every single evening for the next seven days…). Stay tuned 🙂 I don’t know exactly where life is going to take me after graduation, but I really hope that I’ll be able to afford a gym membership because I would love to keep working in this kind of instructor-led group atmosphere. I’m relatively self-motivated at the gym, but I’m a LOT more motivated when I have someone there pushing me along.
Speaking of exercise–I’m less than a month away from beginning my 10K training! Training starts for me on February 20, and I’m really excited to get back out running. I haven’t *really* run in almost two weeks. My back injury flared up a little bit over semester break, so I’ve recently spent a lot of time in the pool and on stat bikes so that I can fully heal before I start running four or five days a week. My back hasn’t given me any trouble lately, but I’m not about to push my luck. I do plan on running about once every other week (which means tomorrow!) just to keep my body familiar with the whole concept of running, particularly running outside, but I’d much rather heal fully while I have the chance than be stupid like I was the last time and make my injury worse instead of better.
All right. Off to write about Puritans. Better posts will come soon!
that class sounds awesome! i know what you mean about finding time to blog- i have no idea how some bloggers manage to post 2 to 3 times a day while photographing their meals. i can barely find time to eat lunch let alone photograph it! haha!
That sounds like such a great class lady! And yeah about blogging… I have noooo idea how people can post up to 3 times per day!
