…until my 10K! Woo hoo!
This is a cheater post because, as they say, “April is the cruelest month,” and I have been crazy busy with school lately. I’m trying to enjoy it since I’m in the last days of my college career. More on that in an upcoming post!
But yeah, I’m still running, still training, still dealing with an always-sore right calf. Such is life. I’m also still running incredibly slow, but thankfully Ryan Gosling doesn’t mind:
Greatest Tumblr ever. Well, maybe second greatest, after the Summer Camp Confessions some of my fellow camp counselors came across and posted on Facebook last week. I may or may not have read through all 50 pages in one day. That may or may not have something to do with the crazy amount of homework I currently have.
But back to running. I’ve begun to taper-ish, which is exciting because it means race day is getting close! My Saturday long runs are still increasing in distance, but my Monday and Wednesday runs are getting progressively shorter, as is my overall weekly mileage. My speed is still nowhere near where I’d ideally like to be, but I’ve lately become a very firm believer in the idea that finishing is more important than finishing quickly, at least for my first 10K where I’m guaranteed to PR anyway ;)
